Wednesday: Habitat setup- Each group will receive materials and directions for constructing their habitat. In their notebooks, students should sketch a model of how they build their habitats.
Thursday: Students need to use their notebooks to sketch examples of these key terms from their habitats: Organisms, Resources, Limiting factors, Producers, Consumers. In pairs students will research the topics from pg 160-162 in their text and complete the Quick Check.
Friday: Interweb (web of interdependence) activity. Materials: Ball of yarn or string (not pieces). Students are assigned the role of different plants and animals. The web is created as we learn how each interacts with another. After the web is complete, complete activity to look at how one organism can affect all the others.
